Conrad Las Vegas Review: Suite Upgrade & Resorts World
We booked a premium room at Conrad Las Vegas and got upgraded to a free one-bedroom suite. Great bed, Dog House food, and the famous Conrad bear.
Watch on YouTube→Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World was our fourth stop in the five-hotel Vegas series. We booked a standard premium room on a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal through the Hilton website and somehow walked away with a free one-bedroom suite upgrade. It was a great stay.
The other hotels in this series: Waldorf Astoria, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, and Croxford.
About the Property
Conrad Las Vegas is part of the Resorts World complex on the northern end of the strip, a three-hotel development that also includes Hilton Las Vegas and Croxford. We stayed at both Conrad and Croxford, so both reviews are coming.
The property features floor-to-ceiling windows in most rooms, a massive shared casino floor with Resorts World, a food court called Famous Food Street Eats, shops, and plenty of restaurants. It is newer and more modern compared to classic strip properties like Bellagio.
One thing to note: the location is further north from the main strip. Getting to Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, or other central properties means taking an Uber or cab. That said, Resorts World itself has so much to do that you may not feel the need to leave.
Booking and Check-In
Vincent booked this room directly through the Hilton app during a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, around 40% off, at about $130 per night before resort fees and taxes. He booked a strip view premium room.
We arrived around 3:30pm and it was not busy. Hilton Gold or Diamond members get access to a priority check-in lane.
At check-in, we were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite at no extra cost. We did not book through FHR or any premium program this time, so the upgrade was a genuine surprise. The strip view we originally paid for did not apply to the upgraded suite room, but we honestly did not mind. Comfort and space mattered more.
Side note on the digital key: We tried to use the Hilton app to open the room door. It lit up, tapped to unlock, and then absolutely nothing happened. We had to use the physical key card. Technology: not always on our side.
Room Tour: One-Bedroom Suite
Powder room at the entrance: The suite has a separate powder room right at the entry, complete with a single sink and Mojave Ghost branded soap (a genuinely nice fragrance). Toilet here too, plus digital controls for do-not-disturb, privacy, and lighting.
Living room:
- Large L-shaped couch, easily long enough to lie down on
- Yellow accent sofa: cute detail
- 55-60 inch TV
- AC control down to 64°F
- Nespresso machine (not a Keurig, which I always appreciate)
- Sensor-activated snacks and drinks: scan the QR code to check prices
- $8 Coke (cheaper than Bellagio's $13 and Cosmopolitan's $9)
- Mini bar with alcohol and soda selection
- Small refrigerator (ours was not cooling properly, seemed broken)
- Big full-length mirror
Bedroom:
- King bed with a red accent and nice wall art
- Very long lounging sofa along one wall
- Same size TV as the living room
- Additional AC control for the bedroom
- Safe and luggage storage space
- Dedicated closet area
- Bedside outlets: 2 USB-A, 1 USB-C, wireless phone charging pad
- Drape and lighting controls by the bed
Bathroom:
- His and her sinks, nice and spacious
- Mojave Ghost hand wash and body lotion throughout
- Small but deep soaking tub (comfortable for one person, tight for two)
- Walk-in shower: very large, with both a waterfall showerhead and a handheld
- Shower products: Mojave Ghost shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and scrub
- Con Air hair dryer
- Zoom-in mirror
- Amenities: cotton swabs, mouth rinse, shave kit, dental kit
- That last one is worth calling out because not every Vegas hotel includes a dental kit, a thoughtful touch
Closet and makeup area:
- Separate vanity mirror with lighting for getting ready
- Sewing kit, comb, nail items, cotton swabs at the vanity (organized neatly, not just thrown in the bathroom)
- Closet looks compact but fits two large suitcases comfortably
- Robe: nice and thick, though not quite as soft as the Waldorf Astoria's
- Slippers: same style as the Waldorf Astoria, very cushy
- Iron and ironing board
Fitness Center
Open 5am to 8pm daily. High ceilings, spacious layout, plenty of cardio machines and weight equipment including free weights up to 100 lbs. Fancy refillable water bottles at the water station. The gym felt newer and well-maintained.
Pool Complex
The Resorts World pool is one of the largest elevated pool complexes on the Las Vegas strip: five themed pool experiences across nine separate pool areas with lounge chairs and cabanas for rent. We visited but did not swim since it was the off-season and most pools were closed. The infinity pool is adults only and requires an additional fee to access.
Dining: Dog House Sports Bar
We did not book through FHR or Marriott Stars for this stay, so the only credit we had was $25 per person per day from the Hilton, which could only be used at Dog House, the sports bar in the Resorts World complex.
A note on timing: We almost forgot to use the credit before checking out at 11am. We asked the front desk if we could still use it and they extended our checkout to 12:30pm so we could get there. If you stay here, plan to use the credit the night before or leave time in the morning before you rush out.
What we ordered:
- Chili dog with fries (Vincent): very good. Chili dog done right.
- Club sandwich with tater tots (Christina): decent, satisfying
The food came faster than expected given how backed up the kitchen was. A lot of guests order right before checkout, so if you go around 11am expect some wait time.
On the Yelp reviews: Dog House has a lot of two and three star reviews, and when we looked into it, most of the negative reviews were about the credit system, not the actual food. Guests frustrated that it is the only credit-eligible option took it out on the restaurant rating. The food itself? We both thought it was genuinely good. The chili dog was excellent. The Nashville chicken is apparently popular too, though we did not try it.
Dinner: Best Friend at Park MGM
For dinner we went off-property to Best Friend, a Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant by Roy Choi inside Park MGM. No credit here, just a reservation we made because we heard it was worth it.
It was one of the best meals of our entire Vegas trip. We loved it.
I have a full detailed review on my food channel (@Choetina) if you want to see everything we ordered.
Sleep Quality
We slept extremely well here. The bed is genuinely comfortable, one of the best of the whole Vegas trip. We both woke up rested and comfortable, a welcome contrast after the Cosmopolitan's hard mattress.
Conrad's location away from the main strip also means it is quieter at night. No fountain show crowds, no strip noise bleeding into the room.
The Conrad Bear
Conrad is known for placing a stuffed bear in guest rooms. Because we got upgraded and moved to a different room at check-in, the bear ended up going to our original room instead of the suite. We noticed it was missing at checkout. The concierge caught it and gave us a fresh bear on the way out. Small detail, but a thoughtful gesture.
Final Verdict
Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World is a genuinely excellent hotel, especially at the price we paid. The suite upgrade made the stay exceptional, but even without it, the property is modern, well-maintained, and the bed quality alone makes it worth considering.
The northern strip location is the trade-off. You are further from everything else, but Resorts World itself has enough dining, entertainment, and amenities to fill a full Vegas trip without needing to leave.
Best for: Travelers who want a modern, comfortable base with great value (especially during sale periods) and do not need to be steps from Bellagio and the Cosmopolitan.
Pro tips:
- Book during Hilton sale periods for the best rate
- Use your daily credit at Dog House for dinner or drinks, not the breakfast rush
- Do not forget to pick up your Conrad bear before you leave
