Costco Windows Review: How We Got $5,800 Back on Our Window Remodel

Costco window replacement in Arizona: 17 Infinity from Marvin fiberglass windows, $20,754 in discounts, $5,812 back in shop cards and rewards.

Watch on YouTube

Last July, our upstairs was hitting 91°F near the windows, and the frames themselves were reaching 100°F. The AC was running constantly and it was clear the original windows were not doing anything useful. We decided to get a quote through Costco to see if it was actually worth it. Here is the full breakdown, including how we ended up with over $5,800 back.

The Product: Infinity from Marvin

Costco partners with Infinity from Marvin for window installation. The key difference from most window brands is the material: fiberglass instead of metal or vinyl. In Arizona, this matters a lot because fiberglass does not conduct heat. It stays stable even when it is 120°F outside.

The Consultation

The free in-home consultation was what sold us. Our consultant was not pushy at all. She used a heat lamp and a temperature gun to demonstrate the difference between our current windows (95°F surface temp) and the fiberglass samples, which barely transferred any heat.

She also advised us against replacing windows that do not get direct sun, which actually helped us prioritize our budget rather than just sell us on replacing everything.

The Numbers

Retail price for 17 windows: $69,179

After member and seasonal discounts: $48,425 (we saved $20,754 through Costco member pricing and a summer promotion). This came out comparable to other quotes we received, but for a higher-quality fiberglass product.

Cash back earned:

SourceAmount
Costco Shop Cards (10% of project)$4,843
Executive Member 2% annual reward$969
Total back$5,812

Payment tip: Costco takes Visa but not American Express for these projects. I used Plastiq to send a check so I could pay with my Amex and earn points. Even with the Plastiq fee, the welcome bonus and points made it worth it for us.

Installation

The installation took three days, with a fourth day for stucco work. Unlike many window companies, Lifetime Windows includes stucco in the price, so no separate contractor needed.

One thing not included: paint. After the stucco dried, we hired a painter for about $850 to handle interior and exterior touch-ups.

Does It Actually Work?

Yes. Our old windows were hard to open and the heat transfer was obvious. The new ones slide open effortlessly and even tilt inward so you can clean the outside glass from inside the house.

Standing next to the window on a sunny Arizona afternoon, you can feel the difference immediately. The heat transfer is significantly lower. The upstairs temperature is no longer a problem.

Final Verdict

If you are planning a window project in Arizona, get a Costco quote. It is free, the in-home consultation is detailed and honest, and the shop card rewards are genuinely useful (we are using ours for groceries and Costco Travel, which is essentially funding our next trip).
