SilverKris Business Class Lounge Changi Terminal 3: Best Lounge Food Ever?
SilverKris Lounge at Changi T3: a massive bar, lemongrass chicken satay, Mala chicken, and the best lounge food we have eaten anywhere.
Watch on YouTube→Before our Singapore Airlines Business Class flight to Narita, we visited the SilverKris Business Class Lounge at Changi Airport. There are two locations: one in Terminal 2 and one in Terminal 3. We went to Terminal 3, on Level 3 near the A Gates. Here is what we found.
The Size
This is one of the largest airport lounges we have ever been in. The directory at the entrance shows just how much space there is: a bar, multiple food stations, lounging areas, showers, and a dedicated kids' playground.
It does get crowded because it is the flagship location. We had to blur a lot of faces in the vlog. But the footprint is genuinely massive, so if you walk toward the back, there are quiet areas and comfortable seating without fighting for a spot.
Outlets and USB ports are built into the seating throughout, which makes it easy to charge up before a long flight.
The Bar
Three bartenders working continuously near the entrance. Complimentary drinks, full service.
Vincent ordered a Singapore Sling. The bartender laughed and told him, "I knew you were going to order a Sling, everyone orders a Sling." It is that kind of place.
Beyond the Sling, they make a good Espresso Martini and a signature SilverKris Special cocktail if you want something different.
The Food
Two buffet areas: a smaller station near the bar for quick snacks and drinks, and the main buffet at the far end of the lounge.
The main buffet completely blew us away. We have visited a lot of lounges and eaten at a lot of hotel buffets across Singapore and Malaysia. This was the best lounge food we have eaten anywhere.
Lemongrass chicken satay: The highlight of everything. The softest, juiciest satay. There was nothing like this on the aircraft or anywhere else we had it.
Spicy Mala chicken: Incredibly crunchy and deeply flavored. We joked it tasted like an extremely premium version of a fast food spicy chicken.
The classics: Roasted duck, braised pork, savory eggplant. All excellent.
Terminal 2 vs. Terminal 3
If you have access to both SilverKris lounges at Changi, here is the honest comparison:
Terminal 3: The flagship experience. Massive scale, full bar, restaurant-quality food spread. If this is your first time in Singapore or your first time in this lounge, come here. It is worth seeing.
Terminal 2: Much smaller, noticeably less crowded. If you want a calm, quiet environment to sit and relax before your flight without crowds, T2 is the better pick. (We also have a separate video covering that lounge.)
