Conrad Singapore Marina Bay Review: Amex FHR & Exec Lounge
We stayed at the newly renamed Conrad Singapore Marina Bay via Amex FHR. Great location, excellent lounge access, and Michelin dim sum nearby.
Watch on YouTube→The Conrad Singapore Marina Bay (formerly the Conrad Centennial, officially renamed in April 2025) sits right next to Suntec City Mall and Millenia Walk, and is about a 20-minute walk from Marina Bay Sands. For central access to shopping and the Marina Bay area, the location is genuinely hard to beat.
We booked a Premier King Room through Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts (FHR) and also had access to the Executive Lounge through Vincent's Hilton Diamond status. The location and dining were strong. The upgrade experience left something to be desired. Here is the full breakdown.
Check-In
The lobby makes an immediate impression: a grand chandelier and an oversized version of the Conrad signature bear greet you at the entrance. A mini version of the bear comes home with you at checkout, which is a nice touch.
Since we booked through Amex FHR, we asked about an upgrade at check-in. The only option available was a move to a higher Executive Floor room. The room itself was the identical layout to what we originally booked, just positioned on the 31st floor, which is the same floor as the Executive Lounge. It was convenient for lounge access but it did not feel like a meaningful upgrade.
The Room: Executive Floor King
The room is compact but well put together.
Layout: A long sofa stretches across the window, a comfortable king bed, and an international outlet and USB hub built into the nightstand. The curtains and drapes are electronically controlled, which is a practical touch.
Welcome amenities: Between the FHR booking and Hilton Diamond status, the hotel stacked the welcome gifts notably well. We received Singapore curry leaf cookies, chocolates, fresh fruit, coconut water, and an evening turndown with a fine-flavored morning coffee blend left on the nightstand. One of the more generous welcome setups we have had at a Hilton property.
Bathroom: Spacious for a compact room: large bathtub, walk-in shower with a waterfall showerhead, and Byredo Mojave Ghost toiletries throughout. The Mojave Ghost scent is consistently one of our favorites, and it showed up here alongside the Conrad Orlando and Croxford Las Vegas as well.
Mini-bar: A Nespresso machine and complimentary TWG tea. TWG is a Singaporean brand with a strong reputation locally, and having it complimentary in the room was a nice local touch over the standard tea bags.
Executive Lounge
Access was through Vincent's Hilton Diamond status. The lounge is on the 31st floor and is divided into multiple smaller rooms, which helps with the feeling of privacy during peak meal hours.
Afternoon Tea (2:30 PM to 4:30 PM): Self-served. Prawn dumplings and small snacks. A decent spread for an afternoon break.
Evening Cocktails (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM): A solid selection of hot food and drinks. A good option for a pre-dinner light meal if you do not want to go out.
Breakfast (6:30 AM to 10:30 AM): The best of the three service periods. Pressed juices, pastries, hot dishes, and Bacha Coffee, which is a premium coffee brand worth seeking out if you have not had it before. The breakfast quality here was strong.
Dining
Our $100 USD property credit converted to approximately $123 SGD. One practical note for Hilton members: the hotel also offers a dining discount at property restaurants, which stacks usefully with the FHR credit.
Golden Peony (Michelin Guide Listed)
Located on the third floor, Golden Peony is a Cantonese restaurant with a Michelin Guide listing. We ordered the scallop with prawn dim sum and the barbecue pork.
The dim sum was the standout: the exterior had a perfect crispiness with a juicy filling inside. The barbecue pork tasted authentically prepared in a way that a lot of hotel Chinese restaurants do not quite get right. Both dishes were worth ordering.
Oscars (Buffet Restaurant)
We used our complimentary FHR daily breakfast for two here. Oscars is a wide-ranging buffet covering multiple cuisines: there is a fresh-pressed orange juice station, excellent fried rice, dim sum, and a fish ball noodle soup that we kept going back to. It is a proper, substantial hotel breakfast.

| Late checkout | 4:00 PM offered, we checked out earlier |
Final Verdict
The Conrad Singapore Marina Bay is a strong home base for exploring the Marina Bay area and Suntec City. The location is the most practical we stayed at during the Singapore portion of the trip. The Executive Lounge access through Hilton Diamond status adds meaningful value, especially for breakfast and the evening cocktail hour. Golden Peony is genuinely excellent and worth a visit even if you are not staying here.
The room design shows its age more than the newer properties in Singapore, and the upgrade experience was not what we hoped for from a FHR booking. Neither is a dealbreaker given everything else the property offers.
The best tip for this stay: Hilton members get a dining discount at the hotel restaurants on top of whatever FHR credit you bring. Stack them toward Golden Peony.
